Glyphosate Found Kellogg's GMO Froot Loops

Independent DNA lab testing has verified that 100% of the corn in Kellogg’s Froot Loops is genetically modified, containing DNA sequences known to be present in insecticide producing Bt toxin and Monsanto's Roundup Ready BT corn. What’s more, tests documented the presence of glyphosate at 0.12 mg/kg, the main chemical ingredient of Monsanto’s best-selling Roundup weedkiller. Food manufacturers like Kellogg's have the choice to source their corn from organic farmers but simply don’t. Why? Profit margin. But there's a bigger issue here than profit taking. Our kids are eating transgenic food that has been linked to serious health issues.

GMOs Have NOT Been Proven Safe

According to supporters of agrichemical biotechnology, the World Health Organization (WHO) position is that GMO foods are safe. That's not true. The IAASTD Global Report, co-sponsored by the WHO and six other world organizations, states GMOs have NOT been proven safe.

What's In Your Meat

Today, there is ample evidence to suggest that our commercial grade meat, poultry and fish should be labelled just as much as the chemical cuisine we get in a box, tin or jar. The how behind industrialized meat processing is not only off-putting, its methodology is downright dangerous to human wellbeing.

What Are GMOs

The term “genetically modified organism” (GMO) occurs when genetic material has been changed in a way that does not occur naturally. It can also can be referred to as genetically engineered (GE) or transgenic.

Parents For GMO Labeling

A strong movement of opposition to genetic engineering in agriculture has developed throughout the world. The movement has led to a moratorium in the EU toward imported genetically modified (GM) products, as well as to acts of open opposition. In the United States opposition to transgenic crops and mandatory labeling is also mounting.

Corporations Against GMO Labeling

These companies are fighting labelling initiatives of genetically engineered ingredients in food by collectively spending millions to create misleading messages in the media. Why? Cheap ingredients; enormous profits. Ref: Good Food Gone Bad: Busting the GMO Myth

Why Labeling GMO Foods Matter

Genetically engineered food is chemically treated and heavily processed. Seven out of 10 foods on grocery shelves contain questionable transgenic ingredients, yet they require no label identification. Industrially processed cows, pigs and chickens are usually fed genetically modified crops but animal products like milk, eggs and meat do not require warning labels. Genetically engineered salmon is becoming a reality yet it will require no identifying label.
